A NOTE REGARDING FALCON, CLEARPATH
(w) Detroit, MI 1997 (expired 03/24/01)

The following information was sent to me from:
Juanita S. Woods, Volunteer Researcher, Ohio

Judy, here is a story about Clearpath.

We all remember how she died defending herself from Zenith. Clearpath still had an egg she had not laid which is considered the reason she lost her battle with Zenith.

On March 7, a female Peregrine Falcon hatched 2002 in Hamilton, Canada was released after months of surgery, rehab and flight training from injuries she sustained when she was attacked by a female named Newton. Her name is Beasley and a vet used preserved feathers from Clearpath to graft onto Beasley!

The ironic thing is, Beasley is Zenith's granddaughter! Beasley's father is Mozart (son of Zenith and her 2nd mate Bullet) and her mother is Madame. I keep thinking if *Y/5 does leave the Tower (we think the female here with Orville is *Y/5), Clearpath ought to steer Beasley to Orville - (Clearpath's grandson).

Events leading up to Clearpath's demise!

Clearpath (b/r) *5/A 1807-61902 was wild produced in 1997 at the Ameritech (now, SBC) Building. Her parents were Judy and Pop (both, now, deceased). She had 3 siblings, Ameritech, Touchtone and Lord Stanley Redwing (none of which we know the whereabouts Of.)

1999 - Clearpath attempted to nest in the nest box at the Terminal Tower site. She was driven out by the returning resident falcon, Zenith. Clearpath moved to the Bohn Building (still in Cleveland) to nest successfully with Wizard. The following year, (2001), Clearpath again attempted to nest at the Terminal Tower. This time, it was a fatal mistake, (see 1st paragraph, at top of page).
